INSTANT SELF-RECHARGE:

1. Activate a shared memory spell.
2. Start recording.
3. A fraction of a second after the midpoint of the 3-second windup start holding your avatar.
4. Release your avatar as soon as the recording starts.
5. Discard and retry the memory after a few honks, depending on how much energy you were missing.
